A Montessori school is a unique set up of classroom in which a mixed age group of children from age 3-6 learn together unlike the regular school. In a Montessori, children learn by self-exploration, discovery and hands on work. Montessori is Child centric where as it is Syllabus centric in conventional school.
At Kilkari the children are nurtured to be very skillful and adaptable. They are well trained in life skills and concepts, which puts them ahead of the syllabus standards of other boards of education. So, they blend in easily and often excel.
Yes. We have teachers trained from standard Montessori Training centres.
Choosing a Montessori environment for your child has many benefits. Known for individually paced learning and fostering independence, the Montessori Method also encourages empathy, a passion for social justice, and a joy in lifelong learning. Given the freedom and support to question, to probe deeply, and to make connections, Montessori students become confident, enthusiastic, self-directed learners. They are able to think critically, work collaboratively, and act boldly—a skill set for the 21st century.
Here the teachers are trained to observe and guide the mixed-age classroom in an effective manner. Lessons to each child according to his/her age are provided through the materials. These individual lessons happen across the class throughout the day as and when a child is done with one material and ready to move on to the next. The children are seen working with their lessons/materials independently or with their peers for as long as they need. The teachers observe the children at work and analyse the requirements of each child to help them accordingly.
We will assist in the process of toilet training. However, the journey has to begin both at home and at school together and the parents must co-operate with the same.
